Chapter I: A Love Squandered

Online in time a love from the sea,
to whom would know could never be.
The ghosts of our pasts could have only seen,
the futility of love which seemed to flee.
For love has waned and hate replaced,
what would you do if you saw my face.
From a time of kisses and warm embraces,
to spitting curses and angered paces.

Out to sea with a love for thee,
I took your heart and dreams with me.
An overcast pier and a ship in wait,
a hurried kiss to a loveless ingrait.
From a squeeze of your palm and beautiful songs,
to be replaced with a love that I wronged.

Our lives had grown like a stormy sea,
we found together much sirenity.
An impatient man who like a child,
embraced your love with such denial.
From a caring breathe and soft whisper of hope,
to the sound of an unanswered online note.
